Emissions R&D Test Engineer
Location: Mississauga, Ontario, Canada - near Toronto Pearson International Airport

The company designs and manufactures a full range of exhaust after-treatment emission control products for OE and aftermarket diesel, LPG, gasoline and natural gas engines. Roles & Responsibilities:
- Plan and execute engine test programs including EPA/California ARB product and engine certifications/verifications
- Collect, analyze and document test and technical data
- Develop and issue final test reports and provide recommendations
- Continuously improve engine test cell operations and capabilities
- Participate in new product development programs from conceptual and initial design stages to production release
- Provide input to annual R&D and capital budgets as well as technical planning
Qualifications & Experience:
- BSc or MSc in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering
- 3 or more years direct experience in engine testing techniques, procedures and protocols
- Thorough knowledge of engine exhaust emissions, test methods, measurements and gas analyzer usage and calibration
- Eddy-current and AC dynamometer proficiency
- Good understanding of internal combustion engines
- Knowledge of EPA/California ARB engine emission regulations
- Excellent project management, documentation and reporting skills
- Good communication, technical writing and presentation abilities with a strong command of the English language
- Mechanically adept and hands-on
Additional Preferred Competencies:
- Familiarity with data acquisition systems
- Experience with COSMOSFloWorks or other CFD software
- Exposure to and knowledge of exhaust emission control products
